Finding the Archived Facebook Messages

If you want to retrieve your archived Facebook messages, simply sign into your personal Facebook, using your login ID and  your password.  Once you have successfully signed into your account, click on the “messages” link that can be found at the top menu.  Once you have clicked on the “messages” scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click on the “archived” option.  If you are having trouble locating exactly where it is,  check where it says “view,” which will be towards the left side.  Once you have done that, find the exact message you are looking for, which should list the name of the person that you had a message with.  Remember, with the updated Facebook message system you will find that all the message from one person is in the same thread.

If you happen to have too many messages, to locate the specific person quickly, you can always use the search box, which is located at the top in the message section.  Click on the icon that says “Magnify Glass” then select your “Archive messages.”  Move your mouse cursor towards the term “is:archived” then click your space bar.  Type the name of person, or keywords that will help you find what you are looking for, then hit “Enter” and the search will begin.
